Trainee Technical Assistant

My client is a fast-paced UK Retailer with big plans on the horizon, who have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Technical Assistant to join the team in Birmingham. We are seeking a motivated and proactive Trainee Technical Assistant to support the Garment Technology team, which includes maintaining high standards across incoming stock. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, detail-focused and able to work effectively in a busy environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the technical team.
- Approving wash cares.
- Inspect brand labels, wash care labels, barcodes and packaging for accuracy and compliance.
- Approving garments for shipment, ensuring all garments are checked on stands.
- Checking warehouse deliveries against Q.C. reports.
- Updating critical path on Database system.
- Reviewing faulty stock with the technical team to assess commercial viability.
- Liaise effectively between the warehouse and the technical team.
- Demonstrate computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent organisational skills required.
- Required to travel between sites occasionally.

- Computer literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Training and Support
Full support and training will be provided, including training on the database system.
The successful candidate should take responsibility for daily tasks and contribute positively to the continued improvement of quality standards.
