We are looking for an office-based Payroll Clerk to join their team at their Head Office. A rapidly expanding company the successful candidate will play an intricate part in an evolving team to fully support the business. You will have full responsibility for providing a professional, accurate payroll service for both weekly & monthly routines utilizing the T&A system. This is a ‘hands’ on role where you will be actively involved in processing the payroll with the team.
You will:
- Produce weekly and monthly payrolls
- Day to day management and development of the team
- Distribute workload ensuring all aspects are completed according to strict deadlines
- Manage the T&A system (e.g., to support overtime, absence data)
- Extracting reports from XRL and T&A System
- Administer starters, leavers, and contractual changes
- Managing the payroll inbox and ensure all queries are resolved quickly and professionally
- Submit all HMRC requirements ie RTI and deal with all queries efficiently
- Administer pension schemes
- Maintain and update payroll records
- Maintenance and continual improvement of payroll systems and processes
- Always ensure full compliance
- Provide full cover during periods of holiday and absence
- Undertake ad-hoc project
- Strong administer
- Complete people tasks – Reviews, Return to works
- Liaise with other areas of the business, ensuring all payroll and associated tasks are in place
- Provide accurate reporting accounts within timescales
You will have:
- Minimum of 3 years payroll experience
- Expert level in using Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Pegasus systems (Desirable)
- Solid understanding of HR/Payroll cycles
- Strong organisation skills, attention to detail and follow through to resolve any outstanding issues.
- Strong working knowledge of email, word, and XRL
- General understanding of HR processes in order to support the HR team. (Desirable)
